Movie Review : "Hancock" (2008) starring Will Smith, Charlize Theron & Jason Bateman. Directed by Peter Berg.
Plot Shot : A drunken, foul-mouthed, depressed asshole wanders the streets of Los Angeles (no social commentary). Oh did I mention he just happens to have superpowers. Instead of being loved by the masses, he is hated even though he does provide a valuable community service at a very high cost to tax payers. Shit is this some kind of thinly veiled attack on police officers? Will Smith flies, picks shit up, tries to figure out what he is, Charlize Theron looks hot, blah blah blah...a really shitty movie ensues... |

Plot Shot : Wesley Gibson has just gotten some shitty news, his father is dead. Well, he never knew his father so it's okay. Now someone is trying to kill him, which sucks. However an impossibly hot woman is risking her life to save him, okay fair trade. Turns out he is destined to become the world's greatest assassin and with a little luck from that guy that narrates every single movie and Lara Croft he will fulfill his destiny. Bullets fly, people die, shit blows up and this review ensues... |

Plot Shot : New York is attacked by a giant monster, wait this sounds oddly familiar. Amid the destruction, chaos and confusion Rob Hawkins and his band of not-so-merry buddies have to make it out of the city. Standing in the way is one really pissed off monster and their own stupidity. Will they make it out alive, will the monster be cooler than the 1998 "Godzilla", will Rudy Giuliani be able to spin "Cloverfield" into a campaign slogan they way he has 9/11? My review of wholesale destruction ensues... |
